Shared Image Hashes

We consider two pages to be related when they share at least one image in common. This has proven useful when we have a specific template for each week of our photo challenge. We wonder, how might we extend this mechanism between some or all sites in the federation?

We take and share a well crafted photograph every day. Each week we start a new page and let the first photograph set an agenda for the week.

We occasionally create additional pages that reuse daily challenge photos when details should not be forgotten.

We like the idea of participating sites opting-in by posting a site specific Image Caption Survey, the data source used to find related pages. To test this we copy a recent image to a related page on an older site.

We notice that Some Photo Details fails when run as a remote site. It should be aware of where the photos reside for which it seeks details.

We could expect to inform the details search with a list of known cooperating sites. Or we could query the neighborhood or the federation for the Image Caption Survey considered sufficient as op-in to the details search.
